Time is a paradox. I see both sides of it. Part of me can't believe it's only been three months since school has started, another part of me can't believe how fast the year has gone by.

Economics


Monday – Unit 5, Lesson 4 (Cooperatives & Nonprofits) Teacher will lead class in reading pages 193 – 197 in the textbook. Students will participate in class discussion and answer teacher directed questions.

Tuesday – Unit 5, Lesson 5 (The Labor Force) Students will individually read pages 199 – 205 in the textbook. They will answer reading check questions (in red) as they go and complete the assessment question on page 180.

HW: (If not finished in class) Finish Reading Check and Assessment questions

Wednesday – Unit 5, Lesson 6 (Labor & Wages) Teacher will lead class in reading pages 206 – 212 in the textbook. Students will participate in class discussion and answer teacher directed questions.

HW: (If not finished in class) Students will complete an outline of Unit 5, Lesson 6 (Labor & Wages)

Thursday – Unit 5, Lesson 7 (Labor Unions) Students will individually read pages 213 – 219 in the textbook. They will answer reading check questions (in red) as they go and complete the assessment question on page 180.

HW: (If not finished in class) Finish Reading Check and Assessment Questions

Friday – Teacher will lead class review of Unit 5 Quick Study Guide on pages 220 & 221. Students will begin working on Unit 5 Assessment on pages 222 & 223.


World History


Monday – “Feudalism.” Class will read pages 294 – 299. Students will answer teacher directed questions. Students will watch videos and participate in class discussion.

Tuesday – “Feudalism.” Class will finish reading pages 294 – 299. Students will answer teacher directed questions. Students will complete Section 2 Review Questions on page 299.

HW: (If not finished in class) Section 2 Review Questions on page 299.

Wednesday – Quiz on Byzantine Empire and the Rise of Islam.

Thursday – “The Medieval Church.” Class will read pages 300 – 303. Students will answer teacher directed questions. Students will watch videos and participate in class discussion.

Friday – “The Medieval Church.” Class will finish reading pages 300 – 303. Students will answer teacher directed questions. Students will complete Section 2 Review Questions on page 303.

HW: (If not finished in class) Section 2 Review Questions on page 303.


American History


Monday – Teacher will lead class through review of chapter 5. Class will first review Quick Study Guide on page 163, and then go back through materials already covered.

Tuesday – Students read pages 170 – 173 (A Nation Declares Independence.) Students answer skills activity questions on page 171 and check your progress questions on page 173.

HW: (If not finished in class) Complete skills activity questions on page 171 and check your progress questions on page 173.

Wednesday – Declaration of Independence Activity. Class will read and review Declaration of Independence on pages 175 – 177.

Thursday – Chapter 5” est.

Friday – Students read pages 179 – 184 and complete check your progress questions on page 184.

HW: (If not finished in class) Complete check your progress questions on page 184.


Reading


Monday – Sustained Silent Reading. Students will pick out a book in class if they do not already have one.

Tuesday – Quiz on “The Inn of Lost Time.”

Wednesday – Sustained Silent Reading. (We will be using this day for sustained silent reading going forward as due to the Wednesday schedule we only have a 30 minute class period.)

Thursday – Class will read “We Are All One” on page 264 to 268 of the textbook.

HW: Students will read “The Cormorant in My Bathtub” on pages 270 & 271 and complete the Making Meaning Questions on page 272.

Friday – Class will do pre-reading activities and begin reading “The Dogs Could Teach Me” on pages 276 – 283.
