Extracurriculars

Students: You want activities, fun and connection at school; we are committed to creating a climate where students take charge of their future, find a place to belong, and grow their interests through Afterschool Clubs, School Activities, and Special Events.

Afterschool Clubs

Students are invited to suggest and create their own clubs. Grab a few friends, share your ideas and our teachers are happy to moderate.

 

The following afterschool clubs are currently available to all 6th-12th grade students:

 

  • Soccer Club: Soccer drills and games every other Tuesday.

  • Running Club: Sustained running (at your own pace) with the help and support of our coaches every other Tuesday.

  • Theater Club: Join us every other Thursday for drama games and skits. Students also plan and prepare plays to perform in front of the school.

  • Gaming Club: Every other Thursday, join us for video games and a variety of board games in a relaxed and fun environment.

School Activities

6th-12th grade students are invited to participate in:

 

  • Student Government: Participate in the management of the school and suggest new ideas or modifications of existing rules.

  • Physical Education Opportunities: Weightlifting, aerobic exercises, and sports such as volleyball, soccer, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, hockey, and flag football.

  • Student Debate: Individually and collectively engage in discussion and debate on issues of societal importance.

  • Drama: Perform plays, dialogues, skits, and participate in a variety of improv games.

  • Maker Space: Use your hands to build and design physical objects of both practical and aesthetic value

  • Art: Draw, sketch, paint, design and create unique artistic projects.

Special Events

We hold a variety of special events every month to build school spirit and unity, such as:

 

  • Schoolwide Red vs Blue Sports Competitions

  • Field Day

  • Cookouts

  • Dances

  • Concerts

  • Scavenger Hunts

  • Walking Trips into Town

  • Community Service Projects

  • Occasional Snowball Fights

  • So Many Field Trips!

Student Success Stories: 100% Graduation Rate!

  • Graduated Valedictorian despite having severe dyslexia 

  • Was at risk of not graduating, now a business owner

  • Graduated at the end of 11th grade; Was at risk of dropping out. 

  • Perfect score on US History EOC, graduated at end of 11th grade

  • Attending Fire college

  • Graduated at 16; graduated with advanced welding certificate in addition

  • In college for veterinary medicine
