Note: This Agenda Blog is only an approximate plan of the weekly lesson plans. Changes can and will be made due to unanticipated circumstances and in order to maximize instructional effectiveness.

 


Government

Monday – Test Review. Students will spend the first half of the class independently studying Chapter 3 in the textbook. Class will spend the second half of the class reviewing together.

Tuesday – Constitution Test. Test on Chapter 3 in the textbook.

Homework: Federalism: Powers Divided. Students will read pages 94 to 102 in the textbook.

Wednesday – Federalism: Powers Divided. Students will define all terms, answer the checkpoint questions, and complete the Section 1 Assessment questions (1 through 6) on pages 94 to 102.

Homework: The National Government and the 50 States. Students will read pages 103 to 109 in the textbook.

Thursday – Federalism in Action. Class will roleplay the geographic separation of powers between central and several regional governments.

Homework: Interstate Relations. Students will read pages 111 to 114 in the textbook.

Friday – Test Review. Students will spend the first half of the class independently studying Chapter 4 in the textbook. Class will spend the second half of the class reviewing together.

 


High School English

Monday – Vocabulary List 14 Sentences. Class will read and review Vocabulary List 14. Students will write the vocabulary words in sentences with context clues demonstrating their understanding of the vocabulary words.

Tuesday – Expository Essay, Introduction Paragraph. Class will review how to write the separate parts of the Introduction Paragraph (Hook, 3 Reasons, Closing). Students will practice writing IRC Outline and then completing an introduction paragraph.

Wednesday – Expository Essay, Introduction Paragraph (Continued). Class will review how to write the separate parts of the Introduction Paragraph (Hook, 3 Reasons, Closing). Students will practice writing IRC Outline and then completing an introduction paragraph.

Thursday – Expository Essay, Introduction Paragraph, Part 2. Class will review how to write the separate parts of the Introduction Paragraph (Hook, 3 Reasons, Closing). Students will practice writing IRC Outline and then completing an introduction paragraph.

Friday – Vocabulary Quiz 14. Students will complete Vocabulary Quiz 14. Class will review how to plan for an Expository Essay and how to write the opening sentence.

 


8th Grade English

8th Grade American History

Monday – The War of 1812. Class will read and review pages 145 to 148 in the workbook and students will complete.

Tuesday – Jeffersonian Era Test. Test on pages 310 to 331 in the textbook.

Homework: Building A National Identity. Students will read pages 340 to 344 in the textbook.

Wednesday – Building A National Identity. Class will read and review pages 150 to 152 in the workbook and students will complete.

Homework: Dealing With Other Nations. Students will read pages 345 to 348 in the textbook.

Thursday – Dealing With Other Nations. Class will read and review pages 153 to 155 in the workbook and students will complete.

Homework: The Age of Jackson. Students will read pages 349 to 354 in the textbook.

Friday – The Age of Jackson Class will read and review pages 156 to 158 in the workbook and students will complete.

Homework: Native American Removal. Students will read pages 355 to 359 in the textbook.
