That’s because at Micanopy Academy, we focus on developing critical thinking skills and content knowledge across subject areas through high quality teaching, small class sizes and dedicated personalized support. We believe in meeting students where they are and helping them get to where they need to go.
Our 6th-12th grade curriculum is aligned with Florida’s new B.E.S.T. standards to prepare students for success. At the middle school level, we offer an Accelerated Program that provides the opportunity to take high school level courses while still in middle school. Our high school curriculum is flexible and accommodating to individual goals. In addition to college prep courses, we offer a brand new Civics and Law Program, as well as a wide variety of courses both on campus and through our Florida Virtual School Lab. The options for your education are endless with us.

Character development, healthy relationships and social emotional growth are just as crucial to your education as math and reading. We are proud of our small, close-knit community that welcomes and celebrates everyone for who they are now and who they hope to become. We build relationships that promote healthy habits and foundational friendships that support students throughout their lives, as well as the opportunity to grow in service and compassion through community volunteer hours and projects.

Few high schools can boast of a 100% graduation rate, but our small school and student-centered model works. Opportunities to earn free college credits, an associate's degree or vocational training from Santa Fe College (SFC) before high school graduation are built into Micanopy Academy’s curriculum. We also offer access to job and college fairs and support for applications and financial aid forms.
