Period 1: English 9/10
MON: “The Lady, or the Tiger” story completion due. Assign justice presentation assignment.
TUES – THURS: Work on Justice presentation assignment. This week you will be graded on your focus in class on the assignment. Presentations begin on FRI.
Period 2: ELA 6
MON: Discuss Text p. 97, P. 98 background, and begin reading “A Schoolgirl’s Diary” with class discussion.
TUES – WED: Continue reading, graded discussion, Assessments p. 109.
THURS: Group work, text p. 110.
FRI: Vocabulary: achieve, individual, instance, outcome, principle, principal, anonymous, debate, edict, defy, pseudonym, prefix, suffix, ethnicities, grade (verb), grade (noun).
Monday, there will be a quiz on these words, so study over the weekend.
Period 3: Literacy
MON – FRI: Continue reading Chapters 23-28 and class discussion. Reading comprehension exercises and then, an essay will follow. Time to complete TBD by progress. Focus on classwork will be graded
Period 4: English 11/12
MON: Presentations re: protests.
TUES-WED: Discuss equality vis-à-vis Declaration of Independence and Gettysburg Address and class discussion questions.
THURS – FRI: Essay about equality assignment. Due MON.
Period 5: ELA 7
MON-TUES: Read short story, pg. 170 and analyze story concepts. Assessments p. 175 and 176.
WED: Assign story assignment. Prepare plot diagram and character and setting description words list. DUE THURS.
THURS – FRI: Work on story, due MON, typed.
Period 6: Law (no class Wednesdays)
MON-FRI: Revisit concepts of the judicial system. Quiz. Continue Governmental regulations – discussions, resources, and assessments TBD.
