Get a Head Start: Summer Session

students at Micanopy Academy work together at a table in a classroom. They have books and a laptop with them.

Always looking for ways to get our 6-8th grade students ahead, Micanopy Academy is excited to announce our Summer Session scheduled for this July. Whether you are new to Micanopy Academy and want to get a jump start on your adventure, or are looking for a way to boost your skills, we can’t wait to welcome all enrolled middle and high school students back for a tuition-free fun and focused Summer Session.

What is Summer Session?

Let’s start with what Summer Session is not.

First, Summer Session is not the summer school of the past. We’ve replaced long days of irrelevant learning with half days of focused, personalized learning. We’ll make the most of your time with lessons tailored to what you need to either catch you up or get you ahead.

Second, Summer Session is not boring. Micanopy Academy values fun way too much to ask you to give up your summer for drab activities. We’ve designed Summer Session to help you get ahead and sneak in some joy and fun with your classmates.

Finally, Summer Session is not just for students who are behind. We’re inviting EVERYONE to join us for joyful, individualized learning. Whether you're seeking remediation, enrichment or just want to get to know your new school, teachers and classmates, Summer Session at Micanopy Academy is the place to be.

Summer Session is open to all enrolled students and there is no fee to attend. It’s part of our tuition-free promise to provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
