Week 9 – End of the First Quarter! (Spirit Week!)

We've made it to the last week of the first quarter. There will be tests in all my classes tomorrow, except for Reading. Hopefully, students take time to study using the study guides I have provided them. Let's all show our Mustang Pride!

Economics

Monday – Teacher provides students with Study Guides for tomorrow’s test. Students will study quietly for the first thirty-five minutes and will spend the last fifteen minutes quizzing a classmate.

Tuesday – Test on Supply & Demand.

Wednesday – “Pure Competition” (p. 142 – 146)

Thursday – “Monopolies” (p. 147 – 154)

Friday – Spirit Day!


World History

Monday – Teacher provides students with Study Guides for tomorrow’s test. Students will study quietly for the first thirty-five minutes and will spend the last fifteen minutes quizzing a classmate.

Tuesday – Test on Ancient Greece (Persian Wars, Alexander the Great, Greek Philosophy & Culture, Hellenistic Age)

Wednesday – PowerPoint on The Roman Republic (750 B.C. – 133 B.C.) Students take notes, watch videos, answer corresponding questions, and complete corresponding activities.

Thursday – PowerPoint on the Roman Empire. Students take notes, watch videos, answer corresponding questions, and complete corresponding activities.

Friday – Spirit Day!


American History

Monday – Teacher provides students with Study Guides for tomorrow’s test. Students will study quietly for the first thirty-five minutes and will spend the last fifteen minutes quizzing a classmate.

Tuesday – Test on Colonial Government, Society, & Traditions.

Wednesday – “Education & The Great Awakening.” (p. 118 – 123)

Thursday – “The Roots of Florida History.” (p. FL-1 – FL-11)

Friday – Spirit Day!


Reading

Monday – Introduce and Begin Reading “The Landlady” by Roald Dahl.

Tuesday – Continue Reading “The Landlady” by Roald Dahl. Students will answer Making Meaning Questions on page 181.

HW: Finish Making Meaning Questions (1-7) on page 181 if not completed during class.

Wednesday - Students will receive work packet on “Analyzing Comparisons & Analogies.” Class will begin working on packet together and students will continue working on packet independently.

HW: Finish Work Packet “Analyzing Comparisons & Analogies.” Be prepared to discuss and turn in in class tomorrow.

Thursday – Students will work on opening paragraph of spooky story.
