1st Period: 6th Grade World History

  • Monday: Begin reading Chapter 1, Section 2: Hunter-Gatherer Societies pg. 64. and take notes as we go // Begin Chapter 2 Assessment pg. 67 #1 - 7

  • Tuesday: Read Chapter 1, Section 3: Populating the Earth pg. 68 and Complete Ch. 1, Section 3 Quiz (open book)

  • Wednesday: Complete Chapter 1 Study Guide (handout)

  • Thursday: Chapter 1 Review Day

  • Friday: Chapter 1 Test

2nd Period: 7th Grade Civics

  • Monday: Binder Handout: Current Event Homework - to be signed and clipped into binder by Friday // Begin reading Chapter 2: America’s Political Heritage pg. 36 // Skim through sections 1, 2, and 3 taking note of headlines and key terms // Begin Chapter 2 Review and Assessment pg. 57 (Due Wednesday).

  • Tuesday: Continue working on Chapter 2 Assessment // Complete for homework if not finished

  • HW: 1. Weekly current event homework due each Wednesday! 2. Review Current Event Homework Guide with parents and have them sign where indicated (due in Friday’s Binder Check).

  • Wednesday: Collect homework // Review and correct Chapter 2 Assessment using Ch. 2 ppt. // Discuss terms and concepts from Chapter 2.

  • Thursday: Review Chapter 2: Trashketball!

  • Friday: Binder Check #2: organization + parent signatures // Chapter 2 Quiz

3rd Period: 6/7th Grade Advanced Reading

  • Monday: Silent Reading // Mime in a Box Vocab Packet (Due Friday) // Read “Reading Skills and Strategies” pg. 45 // Begin reading “The Smallest Dragonboy” pg. 46

  • Tuesday: Silent Reading // Continue reading “The Smallest Dragonboy”

  • Wednesday: Silent Reading // Finish reading “The Smallest Dragonboy” // Reading Check a - 3 pg. 61 - whole class // Begin Making Meanings pg. 61 #1 - 9

  • Thursday: Silent Reading // Read “Student to Student” poem pg. 60 // Finish Making Meanings pg. 61 (Due by the end of class).
