Week 16 - Back to School

Back to school. Hope everyone had a good break.


Economics

Monday – Begin Unit 6-3 (The Federal Reserve System). Students will answer guided questions.

Tuesday – Finish Unit 6-3 (The Federal Reserve System). Students will answer guided questions.

Wednesday – Unit 6-4 (The Function of Modern Banks). Students will read individually. They will answer the Reading Check and Assessment questions, then turn in.

Thursday – Quiz on Unit 6-1 (The Role of Money), 6-2 (Changes in American Banking), and 6-3 (The Federal Reserve System.)

Friday – Unit 6-5 (Investing). Students will read individually. They will answer the Reading Check and Assessment questions, then turn in.


World History

Monday – Life & Culture in the Middle Ages (pages 331 – 335). Class will read together and teacher will lecture. Students will answer teacher guided questions.

HW: Students will briefly research a Middle Age Epic. They will write a brief summary and share any thoughts or feelings they have about the epic (approximately 150 words.)

Tuesday – Wars and the Growth of Nations (pages 336 – 340). Class will read together and teacher will lecture. Students will answer teacher guided questions.

Wednesday – Challenges to Church Power (pages 341 – 344.) Class will read together and teacher will lecture Students will answer teacher guided questions.

Thursday – Students will complete Chapter 14 Review on page 344.

Friday – Middle Ages Test.


American History

Monday – Students will work on Chapter 6 Review & Assessment to prepare for their test on Thursday.

Tuesday – Students will finish Chapter 6 Review & Assessment.

HW: Finish Chapter 6 Review & Assessment (If not complete in class)

Wednesday – Chapter 6 Brain Bowl Review. Students will answer questions and turn in at the end of the period.

Thursday – Chapter 6 Test.

Friday – “Governing a New Nation” (pages 202 – 209.) (Articles of Confederation, Settlement of Western Lands)


Reading

Monday – Students will read “Let Me Hear Your Whisper” Part 2 (pages 310 – 319.)

HW: Students will complete Making Meaning Questions on pages 324 (“Let Me Hear You Whisper, Part 2”)

Tuesday – Students will read the passages “Cars without Gasoline Are Here” and “Are Green Cars Really That Green.” Then they will answer multiple choice reading comprehension questions based on the two passages.

Wednesday – Students will read their silent reading books.

Thursday – Quiz on Unit 4 “Talk to the Animals” (pages 264 – 327.)
