Week of August 26th-August 30th:


6th grade

Types of communications: Narration, Exposition and Persuasion.


For Thursday begin writing the first 10 words that you see on page 716 of your textbook. Write the words that begin with an "A" in your notebook. You are to write them 5 times each.


For Friday, bring a piece of information that utilizes either one of the communications that will be studied this week. You may bring a newspaper, a magazine article, or any type of written information of interest. In class we will discover the forms of communication.


7th grade:

For Thursday begin writing the first 10 words that you see on page 756 of your textbook. Write the words that begin with an "A" in your notebook. Yo are to write them 5 times each.

For Friday, bring a piece of information that utilizes either one of the communications that will be studied this week. You may bring a newspaper, a magazine article, or any type of written information of interest. In class we will discover the forms of communication.

For Friday, bring a written piece of information from either a magazine, newspaper, or any other source so we can analyze it in class.



9&10: Research a topic of interest to discuss in class. The class will vote and reach a consensus to select one for an upcoming debate.


11&12: Continue reading the pages that were assigned in class.
