Economics

Monday – No School (Labor Day)

Tuesday – Class will review the first three units (Fundamentals of Economics, 3 Basic Economic Questions, and Free Market Economies) together and students will answer teacher-directed questions.

Homework: Study for Quiz on Free Market Economies.

Wednesday – Quiz on Free Market Economies

Thursday – PowerPoint: Centrally Planned Economies (Teacher will lecture and discuss. Students will verbally answer teacher-directed questions, write answers to questions written on slides, and watch and discuss videos.)

English Honors

Monday – No School (Labor Day)

Tuesday – Quiz on Chapter 1 through 4 in Lord of the Flies.

Wednesday – Class will read Chapter 5 in the “Lord of the Flies” together and students will answer guided reading questions provided by teacher.

Homework: Students will finish reading Chapter 5 in the “Lord of the Flies” if we do not finish in class.

Thursday – Class will read Chapter 6 in the “Lord of the Flies” together and students will answer guided reading questions provided by teacher.

Homework: Students will finish reading Chapter 6 in the “Lord of the Flies” if we do not finish in class.

Friday – Class will read Chapter 7 in the “Lord of the Flies” together and students will answer guided reading questions provided by teacher.

Homework: Students will finish reading Chapter 7 in the “Lord of the Flies” if we do not finish in class.


8th Grade American History

Monday – No School (Labor Day)

Tuesday - PowerPoint: Colonial Rivalry in North America (Teacher will lecture and discuss. Students will verbally answer teacher-directed questions, write answers to questions written on slides, and watch and discuss videos.) (Continued)

Wednesday – Colonial Rivalry in North America Quiz (Students who finish early should read a book or work on something for another class.)

Thursday – Roots of the American People (Workbook pages 2 – 4). Class will read and review together and students will complete questions independently.

HW: Students will complete workbook pages 2 though 4 if they did not do so in class.

Friday – Cultures of North America (Workbook pages 5 -7). Class will read and review together and students will complete questions independently.

HW: Students will complete workbook pages 5 through 7 if they did not do so in class.


Drama

Monday – No School (Labor Day)

Tuesday – Elements of Drama Quiz #1. Finish Mime Activity #2.

Wednesday – No Class.

Thursday – Drama Games: Mirror Activity, Silent and Serious Activity
