World History


Monday - Reading Quiz on Chapter 21, Section 1. Teacher will review Chapter 21, Section 1 while students attentively listen, take notes, and answer teacher-guided questions in their notebooks. Students will watch a video about the French Revolution (Part 1). Students will take notes and answer teacher-guided questions about the video.

Homework: Students will read Chapter 21, Section 2 and complete the reading check questions in their notebooks.


Tuesday - Possible Reading Quiz on Chapter 21, Section 2. Teacher will review Chapter 21, Section 2 while students attentively listen, take notes, and answer teacher-guided questions in their notebooks. Students will watch a video about the French Revolution (Part 2). Students will take notes and answer teacher-guided questions about the video.

Teacher will review Chapter 21, Section 3 while students attentively listen, take notes, and answer teacher-guided questions in their notebooks. Students will watch a feature-length video about Napoleon Bonaparte. Students will take notes and answer teacher-guided questions about the video.


Friday - Students will continue watching feature-length video about Napoleon Bonaparte. Students will take notes and answer teacher-guided questions about the video.

Homework: Students will read Chapter 21, Section 5 and complete the reading check questions in their notebooks.



Government


Monday - Teacher will review Chapter 4, Section 1 (Federalism) while students attentively listen, take notes, and answer teacher-guided questions in their notebooks. Students will watch a review video about Federalism. Students will take notes and answer teacher-guided questions about the video.

Homework: Students will read Chapter 4, Section 2.


Tuesday - Possible reading Quiz on Chapter 4, Section 2. Teacher will review Chapter 4, Section 2 (National Government & States) while students attentively listen, take notes, and answer teacher-guided questions in their notebooks. Students will complete a workbook activity.

Wednesday - Possible reading Quiz on Chapter 4, Section 3. Teacher will review Chapter 4, Section 3 (Interstate Relations) while students attentively listen, take notes, and answer teacher-guided questions in their notebooks.


Thursday - Students will complete Chapter 4 Assessment on textbook page 116.


Friday - Class will review for Chapter 4 Test on Monday.



American History


Monday - Students will watch a review video about the American Revolution (Part 1). Students will take notes and answer teacher-guided questions about the video. Students will play a review game for Chapter 11 to review key ideas and concepts in preparation for their test on Wednesday.


Tuesday - Students will watch a review video about the American Revolution (Part 2). Students will take notes and answer teacher-guided questions about the video. Students will play a review game for Chapter 11 to review key ideas and concepts in preparation for their test on Wednesday.


Wednesday - Chapter 11 Test. Early finishers will read quietly read Chapter 12, Section 1 in the textbook and complete the checkpoint questions as they go.

Homework: Finish reading Chapter 12, Section 1 and complete all checkpoint questions in the notebooks.


Thursday - Possible Reading Quiz on Chapter 12, Section 1. Teacher will introduce Chapter 12, build background knowledge, and discuss the essential question of the chapter. Teacher will review Chapter 12, Section 1 while students attentively listen, take notes, and answer teacher-guided questions in their notebooks.

Homework: Students will read Chapter 12, Section 2 and complete all checkpoint questions in their notebooks.

Reading


Monday - Class will complete pre-writing activities for “The Ransom of Red Chief.” Class will begin reading “The Ransom of Red Chief” and answer teacher-guided questions in their notebooks.


Tuesday - Class will continue reading “The Ransom of Red Chief” and answer teacher-guided questions in their notebooks.

Homework: Students will complete Making Meaning Questions on page 493.


Wednesday - Class will take a quiz on folk tales, myths, humor, and irony (pages 460, 461, & 480). Students will read their silent reading books after completing the quiz.


Thursday - Reading Skills and Strategies: Prefixes and Suffixes (page 500.) Students will complete pre-reading activities for “Pecos Bill and the Mustang.”


Friday - Class will begin reading “Pecos Bill and the Mustang” and answer teacher-guided questions in their notebooks.
