World History

Monday - No School. Presidents Day.


Tuesday - Students begin working on Chapter 20 Assessment “Identifying Terms” Section. Students complete Enlightenment Thinkers Chart.

HW: Students finish Chapter 20 Assessment “Identifying Terms.” Students read Chapter 20, Section 5 “The American Revolution.” (If they have not already done so.)


Wednesday - Students work on Chapter 20 Assessment “Understanding Main Ideas” Section. Students write a dialogue between a loyalist and a patriot, using key events and facts to make their points.

HW: Students finish Chapter 20 Assessment “Understanding Main Ideas.”


Thursday - Students turn in Chapter 20 Assessment. Review for Chapter 20 Test.


Friday - Chapter 20 Test.

HW: Students read Chapter 21, Section 1.


Government

Monday - No School. Presidents Day.


Tuesday - Political Ads Analysis Assignment & Political Polling Activity.


Wednesday - Chapter 3, Section 3 - Basic Legislation, Executive Actions, & Court Decisions (p. 85 - 88)


Thursday - Students Complete Chapter 3 Assessment.


Friday - Chapter 3 Test.


American History

Monday - No School. Presidents Day.


Tuesday - Inventions, Transportation, & Immigration. Students complete a chart of inventions, explaining the significance of each. (p 391 - 394)


Wednesday - The Plantation South; African-Americans in the South. (p. 396 - 400)


Thursday - The West; Roads, Turnpikes, & Canals; The Extension of Slavery (p. 401 - 405)


Friday - Students begin working on Chapter 11 Assessment

HW: Complete Chapter 11 Assessment


Reading

Monday - No School. Presidents Day.


Tuesday - “Coyote Steals Sun & Moon.” (p 463 - 465)


Wednesday - Sustained Silent Reading.

HW: Students Complete Silent Reading Reflection


Thursday - “Charles” (p 472 - 476)
