Note: This Agenda Blog is only an approximate plan of the weekly lesson plans. Changes can and will be made due to unanticipated circumstances and in order to maximize instructional effectiveness.


World History Middle School

Monday – Teacher will provide students with the flash card list for Ancient Egypt. Terms are already defined. Students will copy onto their flashcards.

HW: Students will complete flashcards for Ancient Egypt. (Due Tuesday)

Tuesday – Introduction to Ancient China; Settling Along the Huang River (textbook pages 432 to 435). Students will read, define all terms, complete all reading check questions, complete all map skills questions on page 433, answer the think critically question on page 434, and complete chapter 1 assessment questions on page 435.

HW: Students will study flashcards (Prehistory, Agricultural Revolution & Sumeria, and Ancient Egypt)

Wednesday – Brain Bowl Review (Prehistory, Agricultural Revolution & Sumeria, and Ancient Egypt). Students should pay attention as review will be preparation for quiz on Thursday.

Thursday – Review Quiz (Prehistory, Agricultural Revolution & Sumeria, and Ancient Egypt)

Friday – China Under the Zhou Dynasty (textbook pages 436 to 439). Students will read, define all terms, complete all reading check questions, complete the map skills questions on page 437, complete the chart skills questions on page 438, and complete the section 2 assessment questions on page 439.


American History Middle School

Monday – Chapter 11: Quick Study Guide (textbook page 407) – Class will review and discuss together. Brain Bowl Review (Chapter 11)

HW: Study for Chapter 11 test (textbook pages 382 to 405) tomorrow.

Tuesday – Chapter 11 Test (textbook pages 382 to 405); Teacher will provide students with the flashcard list for Pre-Columbian America & Age of Exploration. Terms are defined. Students will copy onto their flashcards.

HW: Students will finish their flashcards for Pre-Columbian America & Age of Exploration. (Due Wednesday)

Wednesday – Chapter 12 (Age of Reform) Introduction; Improving Society (textbook pages 414 to 419) – Class will read and discuss together. Students will answer teacher-provided questions.

Thursday – The Fight Against Slavery (textbook pages 422 to 426) – Class will read and discuss together. Students will answer teacher-provided questions.

Friday – A Call for Women’s Rights (textbook pages 427 to 430) – Class will read and discuss together. Students will answer teacher-provided questions.


World History High School

Monday – Teacher will provide students with the flash card list for Human Origins & Stone Age. Terms are already defined. Students will copy onto their flashcards.

HW: Students will complete flashcards for Human Origins & Stone Age. (Due Tuesday)

Tuesday – The Scientific Revolution (textbook pages 382 to 387) – Students will read and answer teacher provided questions.

Wednesday – France in the Age of Absolutism (textbook pages 454 to 458) – Students will read and answer teacher provided questions.

Thursday – Russia in the Age of Absolutism (textbook pages 459 to 464) – Students will read and answer teacher provided questions.

HW: Central Europe in the Age of Absolutism (textbook pages 465 to 469) – Students will read and answer teacher provided questions.

Friday – Test on “The Age of Absolutism” and “The Scientific Revolution”) (textbook pages 382 to 387 & 454 to 469) (Bonus Questions from Human Origins & Stone Age Flashcards.)


American History High School

Monday – Teacher will provide students with the flash card list for chapters 8, 9 , & 10. Terms are already defined. Students will copy onto their flashcards.

HW: Students will complete flashcards for Chapters 8, 9, & 10. (Due Tuesday)

Tuesday – Kennedy and the Cold War (textbook pages to 696 to 702) - Students will read the pages and answer the teacher-provided questions on a separate piece of paper.

HW: Students will study their flashcards (Chapters 5 through 10) in preparation for a quiz on Wednesday.

Wednesday – Chapter 5 through 10 Review Quiz. Kennedy’s New Frontier (textbook pages 703 to 707). Students will read, define all terms, answer all reading checkpoint questions, answer the analyzing political cartoons questions on page 705, answer the thinking critically questions on page 706, and complete questions four through six on the section 2 assessment on page 707.

Thursday – Teacher will provide students with the flash card list for chapters 11 & 12. Terms are already defined. Students will copy onto their flashcards.

HW: Students will complete flashcards for Chapters 11 & 12.

Friday – Can a Poor Person Get a Fair Trial: Gideon vs Wainwright (1963) (textbook page 708) – Class will read and discuss together; Johnson’s Great Society (textbook pages 709 to 716) – Students will read and answer the teacher-provided questions on a separate piece of paper.
