Government

Monday – Our Political Beginnings. Students will read textbook pages 30 to 34. Students will define all terms, answer all checkpoint questions, complete the section 1 assessment (1-6) on page 34. Students will write all questions.

Tuesday – The Coming of Independence. Students will read textbook pages 36 to 42. Students will define all terms, answer all checkpoint questions, complete the section 2 assessment (1-5) on page 42. Students will write all questions.

Wednesday – The Declaration of Independence. Class will read and review the Declaration of Independence. Students will answer teacher-directed questions. Students will write all questions.

Thursday – The Critical Period. Students will read textbook pages 48 to 51. Students will define all terms, answer all checkpoint questions, complete the section 3 assessment (1-5) on page 51. Students will write all questions.

Friday – Creating the Constitution. Students will read textbook pages 52 to 58. Students will define all terms, answer all checkpoint questions, complete the section 4 assessment (1-5) on page 56. Students will write all questions.


English Honors

Monday – Students will receive their vocabulary lists. Students will write each vocabulary word in a sentence with context clues to demonstrate their understanding of the word.

Tuesday – 1984. Class will review 1984, chapters 1 through 3. Students will read 1984, chapter 4 (pages 37 through 48).

Wednesday – 1984. Students will read 1984, chapter 5 (pages 49 through 63).

Thursday – 1984. Students will complete worksheet provided by teacher on 1984, chapters 1 through 5 (pages 1 through 63).

Friday – Vocabulary (List #9) & 1984 Quiz (Chapters 1 through 5 – pages 1 through 63).


8th Grade American History

Monday – Introduction to Chapter 7. Governing a New Nation. Students will read textbook pages 204 to 209. Define all terms, answer all reading checkpoint questions, and Check Your Progress questions (1 – 7) on page 209. Students will write all questions.

Tuesday – The Constitutional Convention. Students will read textbook pages 212 to 217. Define all terms, answer all reading checkpoint questions, and Check Your Progress questions (1 – 6) on page 217. Students will write all questions.

Wednesday – Debating the Constitution. Students will read textbook pages 218 to 221. Define all terms, answer all reading checkpoint questions, and Check Your Progress questions (1 – 5) on page 221. Students will write all questions.

Thursday – Chapter 7 Review Assessment. Students will answer questions 1-15 on page 224. Students will write all questions.

Friday – Chapter 7 Brain Bowl Review.
