American History High School


Monday – Introduction to Chapter 5. Students will receive their vocabulary words for Chapter 5. Class will review vocabulary terms. Students will copy the vocabulary terms and definitions onto their index cards.


Tuesday – Students will read Chapter 5, Section 1 on pages 146 to 153 in the textbook. They will answer all checkpoint questions and questions 4, 5, and 6 on the Section 1 Assessment. Students must write questions.


Wednesday – Students will complete Chapter 5, Section 1 Reading Check. Students will read Chapter 5, Section 2 on pages 154 to 161. Students will take notes on Chapter 5, Section 2.


Thursday – Students will complete Chapter 5, Section 2 Reading Check. Students will read Chapter 5, Section 3 on pages 163 to 171. Students will complete Chapter 5, Section 3 Reading Check.


Friday – Chapter 5 Brain Bowl Test Review.




World History High School


Monday – Class will continue Interactive PowerPoint Presentation on The Stone Age. At the end of class, students will turn in answers for the parts of the PowerPoint presentation completed in class (if finished with all questions). Teacher will pass out a paper copy of the Interactive PowerPoint Presentation (does not include video clips, answers to written questions, and materials students will not be tested on).


Tuesday – Brain Bowl Test Review on the Stone Age.


Wednesday – Test on the Stone Age. Timeline Assignment. Students will create a timeline with 20 to 30 events based on the information learned in the first two units.

HW: Finish timeline.


Thursday – Class will begin Interactive PowerPoint Presentation on The Agricultural Revolution.


Friday – Class will continue Interactive PowerPoint Presentation on The Agricultural Revolution. At the end of class, students will turn in answers (if finished with all questions). Teacher will pass out a paper copy of the Interactive PowerPoint Presentation (does not include video clips, answers to written questions, and materials students will not be tested on).




English High School


Monday – Teacher will pass out Vocabulary List #2. Class will review vocabulary words. Students will write vocabulary words in a sentence with context clues demonstrating their understanding of the words.


Tuesday –Class will begin reading “Night” by Elie Weisel. Students will answer questions directed by teacher.


Wednesday – Three Wishes Writing Activity. Students will be provided with the beginning of a short story. Students will finish the story in 500 to 800 words.


Thursday – Three Wishes Writing Activity (Continued). Students will be provided with the beginning of a short story. Students will finish the story in 500 to 800 words.


Friday – Vocabulary Quiz. Students will continue reading “Night” by Elie Weisel. Students will answer questions directed by teacher.




American History Middle School


Monday – Class will finish Interactive PowerPoint Presentation on The Age of Exploration. At the end of class, students will turn in answers (if finished with all questions). Teacher will pass out a paper copy of the Interactive PowerPoint Presentation (does not include video clips, answers to written questions, and materials students will not be tested on).


Tuesday – Students will be divided into three groups and will perform a 5-minute skit in which they cross the ocean on a ship and discover a new land.


Wednesday – Brain Bowl Test Review (Age of Exploration).


Thursday – Test (Age of Exploration). Students will complete workbook pages 16 through 18.


Friday – Class will being Interactive PowerPoint Presentation on Colonial Rivalry: North America. Students will answer questions on PowerPoint slides.
