Government

Monday – Political Parties and What They Do. Class will read and review pages 122 to 129 in the textbook. Students will answer the checkpoint questions and questions 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7 in the Section 1 Assessment on page 129.

Homework: Students will study for the Chapter 4 quiz.

Tuesday – Federalism Quiz. Quiz on Chapter 4 in the textbook. Political Parties. Class will review pages 137 through 140 and students will work in groups to create their own (imaginary) political party for our school by creating a ten point party platform, slogan, and posters.

Homework: Two-Party System in American History. Students will read pages 130 to 136 in the textbook.

Wednesday – Political Parties (Continued). Students will work in groups to create their own (imaginary) political party for our school by creating a ten point party platform, slogan, and posters.

Thursday – Technology Day. Students who do not qualify should complete missing assignments.

Friday – Enrichment Activity. Some students will be out on field trip.

 


High School English

Monday – Body Paragraphs. Class will work together to review how to write the body paragraphs of an Expository Essay.   

Tuesday – Writing a Body Paragraph. Students will be given a prompt, write an IRC Outline, and pick one of the body paragraphs to write.

Wednesday – Vocabulary Review Game. Class will review vocabulary lists one through fourteen.

Thursday – Technology Day. Students who do not qualify should complete missing assignments.

Friday – Enrichment Activity. Some students will be out on field trip.

 

 

8th Grade English

Monday – Body Paragraphs. Class will work together to review how to write the body paragraphs of an Expository Essay.

Monday – Native American Removal. Class will read and review pages 159 to 161 in the workbook and students will complete.

Homework: States’ Rights and the Economy. Students will read pages 362 to 367 in the textbook.

Tuesday – States’ Rights and the Economy. Class will read and review pages 162 to 164 in the workbook and students will complete.

Wednesday – A Changing Nation Test. Test on pages 340 to 367 in the textbook.

Homework: The Industrial Revolution. Students will read pages 382 to 387 in the textbook.

Thursday – Technology Day. Students who do not qualify should complete missing assignments.

Friday – Enrichment Activity. Some students will be out on field trip.
