Note: This Agenda Blog is only an approximate plan of the weekly lesson plans. Changes can and will be made due to unanticipated circumstances and in order to maximize instructional effectiveness.

 


Government

Monday – Ratifying the Constitution. Class will read and review pages 59 to 62. Students will define all bold terms and answer the Section 5 Assessment questions (1 through 5).

Tuesday – Chapter 2 Assessment. Students will complete the Chapter 2 Assessment questions (1 through 11) on page 64.

Wednesday – Origins of the American Government Test. Test on pages 30 through 65.

Thursday – Basic Principles. Class will read and review pages 68 to 75. Students will define all bold terms and answer the Section 1 Assessment questions (1 through 5).  

Friday – NO SCHOOL

 


High School English

Monday – Vocabulary Review Sheet. Students will receive Vocabulary List 13 and will complete worksheet exploring the vocabulary terms.

Tuesday – Expository Essay Writing – Getting Started. Students will participate in lesson about expository writing and complete the guided practice worksheets.  

Wednesday – Expository Essay Writing – Making an Outline. Students will participate in lesson about expository writing and complete the guided practice worksheets.

Thursday – Vocabulary Quiz 13. Quiz on Vocabulary List 13.

Friday – NO SCHOOL

 


8th Grade English

Monday – Vocabulary Review Sheet. Students will receive Vocabulary List 8 and will complete worksheet exploring the vocabulary terms.

Tuesday – Expository Essay Writing – Getting Started. Students will participate in lesson about expository writing and complete the guided practice worksheets.  

Wednesday – Expository Essay Writing – Making an Outline. Students will participate in lesson about expository writing and complete the guided practice worksheets.

8th Grade American History

Monday – The Birth of Political Parties. Students will independently read pages 290 to 293 in the textbook. Students will answer all Checkpoint questions and the Check Your Progress questions (1 through 3).

Tuesday – Troubles at Home and Abroad. Class will read and review pages 294 to 297 in the textbook. Students will answer all Checkpoint questions and the Check Your Progress questions (1 through 3).

Wednesday – The Presidency of John Adams. Class will read and review pages 298 to 301 in the textbook. Students will answer all Checkpoint questions and the Check Your Progress questions (1 through 3).

Thursday – Launching a New Nation Test. Test on chapter 8 in the textbook.

Friday – NO SCHOOL
