INTENSIVE READING --- Grades 6/7

We will begin reading "12 Rounds to Glory" for 5 - 10 minutes at the beginning of each period. It is in poetry format.

MON: Glencoe Book: Discuss Poetry and poetry terms p.70-72. Read "Dinner Together" and "...Caterpillar Steps" p.73-74. Do Teamwork questions 1, 2 p.75.

TUE: Questions p.76. Discuss stanzas, syllables. Read "Daydreamers" p.78-79. Do Teamwork and Rhymes chart p.80, 81.

WED: Discuss figures of speech, simile, metaphor, personification p.82. Give examples.

THU: Read "April Rain Song" p.83. Do Q's p.84-85.

FRI: Complete worksheets on poetry. Write a short poem.
