American History High School

Monday – Chapter 13 Test Review. Students will actively participate and answer teacher-directed questions.

Tuesday – Chapter 13 Test

Wednesday – Teacher will pass out vocabulary list for Chapter 13. Teacher will introduce Chapter 14 (The Great Depression). Causes of the Depression. Class will read and discuss textbook pages 446 to 452. Students will answer teacher-directed questions. (Absent students should complete the Section 1 Assessment on page 452.)

Thursday – Americans Face Hard Times. Class will read and discuss textbook pages 453 to 461. Students will complete the Section 2 Assessment on page 461.

Friday – Hoover’s Response Fails. Class will read and discuss textbook pages 453 to 461. Students will complete the Section 3 Assessment on page 468.


World History High School

Monday – Chapter 13 (The Middle Ages) Test Review

Tuesday – Chapter 13 Test (The Middle Ages)

Wednesday – Rise of Islam. Teacher will introduce and class will discuss. Class will watch video about lives of medieval peasants. Students will read pages 240 to 242 in the textbook and complete the worksheet provided by the teacher.

Thursday – Spread of Islam. Teacher will introduce and class will discuss. Class will watch video about lives of medieval peasants. Students will read pages 243 to 247 in the textbook and complete the worksheet provided by the teacher.

Friday – Islamic Civilization. Teacher will introduce and class will discuss. Class will watch video about lives of medieval peasants. Students will read pages 248 to 253 in the textbook and complete the worksheet provided by the teacher.


English Honors High School

Monday – Vocabulary List #11. Students will write vocabulary terms in sentences with context clues to demonstrate their understanding of the terms.

Tuesday – Reader Response Essay (Night). Write a 600-to-1000-word essay reflecting on how Elie Weisel’s beliefs and moral framework was challenged by the extreme suffering and abuse he suffered at the hands of the Nazis. How can suffering challenge, weaken, and/or strengthen one’s beliefs and moral framework?
