Economics

Monday – Supporting Economic Growth. Students will define all terms and answer reading checkpoint questions as they read. Students will complete assessment questions on page 61 after reading.

Tuesday – Quiz on Mixed Economies and Benefits of Free Enterprise.

Wednesday – PowerPoint: Supporting Economic Growth (Teacher will lecture and discuss. Students will verbally answer teacher-directed questions, write answers to questions written on slides, and watch and discuss videos.)

English Honors

Monday – Students will read chapter 12 in Lord of the Flies. Then, they will create a summary of a 150 to 250 alternate ending for the story.

Tuesday – Students will divide into two groups and write out a skit for a talk show in which the characters in Lord of the Flies are interviewed about their time on the island (after returning to civilization).

Wednesday – Students will finish writing their skit for Lord of the Flies.

Thursday – Class will film Lord of the Flies skit.

Friday – NO SCHOOL


8th Grade American History

Monday – Colonies Take Root. Students will complete pages 30 to 32 in the workbook. Afterwards, they will study their packets for quiz tomorrow on Jamestown and Roanoke Colony.

Tuesday – Jamestown & Roanoke Colony Quiz.

Wednesday – PowerPoint: Plymouth (Teacher will lecture and discuss. Students will verbally answer teacher-directed questions, write answers to questions written on slides, and watch and discuss videos.)
