Government

Monday – Government and the State. Class will read and review textbook pages 4 through 11. Students will define terms and answer teacher-directed questions.

Tuesday – Government and the State (Continued). Class will read and review textbook pages 4 through 11. Students will define terms and answer teacher-directed questions. Students will complete Section 1 Assessment (Questions 1 through 5) on page 11.

Wednesday – Forms of Government. Class will read and review textbook pages 12 through 18. Students will define terms and answer teacher-directed questions.

Thursday – Forms of Government (Continued). Class will read and review textbook pages 12 through 18. Students will define terms and answer teacher-directed questions. Students will complete Section 2 Assessment (Questions 1 through 5) on page 18.

Friday – NO SCHOOL


English Honors

Monday – Students will receive vocabulary list #8, class will review, and students will write each definition in a sentence with context clues demonstrating their understanding of the word.

Tuesday - Gulliver's Travels: Part One. Textbook Pages 591 to 599.

Wednesday – Gulliver’s Travels: Part One (Continued). Textbook pages 591 to 599. Students will complete the Thinking Through Literature questions (1 through 5) on page 599.

Thursday – Vocabulary Quiz. Class will have a vocabulary bee based on all of the definitions we have learned to this point.

Friday – NO SCHOOL


8th Grade American History

Monday - A Critical Time. Students will read textbook pages 179 to 184, define all terms, answer all reading checkpoint questions, and answer the Check Your Progress questions on page 184.

Tuesday – The War Widens. Students will read textbook pages 186 to 190, define all terms, answer all reading checkpoint questions, and answer the Check Your Progress questions on page 190.

Wednesday – Winning Independence. Class will read textbook pages 191 to 195 and discuss together. Students will answer teacher-directed questions.

Thursday – American Revolution Video & Chapter 6 Review. Class will watch a video on the American Revolution and discuss. Class will begin reviewing Chapter 6.

Friday – NO SCHOOL
