About

Having grown up in Alachua County and working in several different educational settings, I can confidently say my heart belongs to our rural schools. The amount of love and support combined with hardworking and caring students, parents, and faculty make this my only option for teaching education. I feel so blessed to be a part of Micanopy Academy!

I earned my degree in education 14 years ago and spent many years working with our community youth. My husband and I have two children that attend school in Micanopy. We enjoy spending our time as a family outdoors hiking, camping, tubing and paddle boarding to name a few…

I am a scavenger at heart. I enjoy shelling at nearby beaches, searching for shark teeth at local creeks, and foraging in the woods. I use many of these elements in my art. I believe ALL people have artistic abilities, however it is just a matter of finding a style and medium that brings you joy. It is going to be a great year, and I look forward to growing and creating with your child!
