World History Middle School

Monday – The Incan Ice Maiden (textbook pages 216 to 219) – Class will read and review together. The Rise & Fall of the Incan Empire (Students will watch video and class will discuss)

Tuesday – The Incas (textbook pages 220 to 225); (Students will read, define all terms, answer reading check questions, answer map skills questions on page 221, answer think critically question on page 222, and answer section 1 assessment questions on page 225)

Wednesday – North American Cultures (textbook pages 226 to 233); (Students will read, define all terms, answer reading check questions, answer map skills question on page 226, answer think critically question on page 232, and answer section 2 assessment questions on page 233)

Thursday – Primary Sources Activity - The Aztec & The Inca (textbook pages 236 & 237) - Class will complete together. (Students will use the rest of the time to study for test.)

Friday – Pre-Columbian America Test (textbook pages 200 to 233)


American History Middle School

Monday – Jefferson Takes Office (textbook pages 310 to 313); (Students will define all terms, complete all reading checkpoint questions, complete the critical thinking question on page 311, complete the reading charts skills activity questions on page 312, and complete section 1 check your progress questions 1, 2, 4, & 5 on page 297)

Tuesday – The Louisiana Purchase (textbook pages 314 to 319); (Students will define all terms, complete all reading checkpoint questions, complete the critical thinking question on page 315, complete the map master skills activity questions on page 316, and complete section 1 check your progress questions 1, 2, & 3 on page 319)

Wednesday – The Louisiana Purchase (continued) (textbook pages 314 to 319); (Students will define all terms, complete all reading checkpoint questions, complete the critical thinking question on page 315, complete the map master skills activity questions on page 316, and complete section 1 check your progress questions 1, 2, & 3 on page 319)

Thursday – Louis & Clark Expeditions (Students will watch video and complete questions provided by teacher)

Wednesday – The Home Front (textbook pages 553 to 558) (Students will define all terms, answer all reading checkpoint questions, answer the inset questions on 556 & 557, and compete section 2 assessment questions 4 through 6)

Thursday – Can Government Limit Liberties During Wartime? (textbook page 559) (Students will answer the following question in a 400 to 600 word essay, “Should the government be allowed to deprive people of liberty (natural rights) in times of emergency? Why or why not?”)

Friday – Victory in Europe and the Pacific (textbook pages 562 to 571) (Students will define all terms, answer all reading checkpoint questions, answer the thinking critically question on 565, answer the map skills questions on 566 and 568, answer the decision point questions on page 570, and compete section 3 assessment questions 4 through 6)
