American History High School


Monday – Chapter 18 Test. Students will define all bolded terms from Chapter 19 in the textbook.

Homework: Students will finish defining all terms from Chapter 19.


Tuesday – An Economic Boom. Class will read and discuss pages 626 to 631 in the textbook. Students will answer questions on worksheet provided by teacher.


Wednesday – A Society on the Move. Class will read and discuss pages 632 to 639 in the textbook. Students will answer questions on worksheet provided by teacher.


Thursday – Mass Culture & Family Life. Students will read pages 640 to 645 in the textbook. Students will answer all checkpoint questions, complete the Thinking Critically questions on page 643, and complete questions 4, 5, and 6 in the Section 3 Assessment on page 645. Students must write questions. Everything must be clearly labeled.


Friday – Dissent & Discontent. Students will read pages 646 to 651 in the textbook. Students will answer all checkpoint questions, complete the Thinking Critically questions on page 646, and complete questions 4, 5, and 6 in the Section 4 Assessment on page 651. Students must write questions. Everything must be clearly labeled.




World History High School


Monday – Civil War & Revolution. Class will read and discuss pages 478 to 482 in the textbook, as well as watch several video clips on the English Civil War. Students will complete questions on worksheet provided by teacher.


Tuesday – Constitutional Monarchy in England. Class will read and discuss pages 483 to 489 in the textbook. Students will complete worksheet provided by the teacher.


Wednesday – English Colonial Expansion. Class will read and discuss pages 490 to 493 in the textbook. Students will complete worksheet provided by the teacher.


Thursday – The Enlightenment. Class will read and discuss pages 494 to 496 in the textbook. Students will complete worksheet provided by the teacher.


Friday – The American Revolution. Students will individually read pages 497 to 503 in the textbook. Students will answer all reading checkpoint questions, complete the Interpreting the Visual Record question on page 498, complete the Analyzing Primary Sources question on page 499, complete the Skills Assessment questions (on pages 500, 501, and 502), and complete the History Maker question on page 503. Students must write questions. Everything must be clearly labeled.




English High School


Monday – Vocabulary Sentences. Students will receive Vocabulary List #16. Class will review and discuss. Students will write 12 of the vocabulary words in sentences with context clues demonstrating their understanding of the words. Each of the sentences must also contain a vocabulary word from a previous list.

Homework: Students will spend 40 minutes studying their vocabulary lists.


Tuesday – Sustained Silent Reading. Students will quietly read their silent reading books.


Wednesday – Sustained Silent Reading Reflection. Students will complete a reflection activity on their sustained silent reading book.


Thursday – Civil Peace. Students will read Civil Peace by Chinua Achebe on pages 1274 to 1278 of the textbook. Students will complete the Thinking Through Literature questions (1 through 5) on page 1279. Students must write questions. Students must answer the questions thoroughly, legibly, and in complete sentences.


Friday – Vocabulary Quiz #16. Quiz on Vocabulary List #16.




American History Middle School


Monday – Amendments. Class will review and discuss the Bill of Rights (First 10 Amendments) on pages 240 to 242. Using pages 242 to 250 in their textbook, students will complete graphic organizer on pages 103 to 104 in the workbook about Amendments 11 through 27.

Homework: Study for Citizenship & Constitution Test.


Tuesday – Citizenship & Constitution Test. Test on pages 228 to 267 in the textbook.


Wednesday – Launching a New Nation. Teacher will introduce Chapter 8. Class will review and discuss the interactive map on textbook pages 280 & 281. Washington Takes Office. Class will read and discuss pages 282 to 287 in the textbook. Students will complete questions on worksheet provided by teacher.


Thursday – The Birth of Political Parties. Class will read and discuss pages 290 to 293 in the textbook. Students will complete questions on worksheet provided by teacher.


Friday – Troubles at Home & Abroad. Students will read pages 294 to 297 in the textbook. Students will define all terms, answer all checkpoint questions, and complete questions 1a, 1b, 2a, and 2b in the Check Your Progress assessment on page 297. Students must write all questions. Everything must be clearly labeled.
