A new decade has begun. May the twenties make you healthy, wealthy, and wise. For our students, the road to destiny begins with a focus on their studies. If they will focus thusly, the knowledge they gain will give them the tools to make an impact in this world. When the clock strikes midnight on January 1, 2030, where they will find themselves? One thing is certain. It is in their hands.
Economics
Monday – No School.
Tuesday – Mid-Term Project. Teacher will assist students in completing their mid-term project (stock market purchase and sale.)
Wednesday – Class will take notes and review for test on Friday.
Thursday – Class will take notes and review for test on Friday. (Deadline for mid-term project to be turned in.)
Friday – Test reviewing key concepts learned over the course of the semester.
World History
Monday – No School.
Tuesday – Class will complete review questions (provided by teacher) based on Chapter 16, Section 3. Class will view video “History vs Columbus” and discuss.
Wednesday – Class will complete review questions (provided by teacher) based on Chapter 16, Section 4.
Thursday – Class will review for Chapter 16 Test. (Deadline for mid-term project to be turned in.)
Friday – Test on Chapter 16 (“The Age of Discovery”)
American History
Monday – No School.
Tuesday – Students will read Chapter 8, Section 2 in the textbook and answer questions provided by the teacher.
Wednesday – Students will read Chapter 8, Section 3 in the textbook and answer questions provided by the teacher.
Thursday – Class will review for the test on Friday.
Friday – Test on Chapter 8, Sections 1 – 3.
Reading
Monday – No School.
Tuesday – Class will take notes on historical background of the Nazis rise to power in order to provide background for our coming unit on the Holocaust.
Wednesday – Students will read their sustained silent reading book.
Thursday – Students will work on reading comprehension packet.
Friday – Elements of Literature Quiz.
