World History

Note: In an effort to make sure students are doing the reading assignments and attempting to retain the information that they are reading in the text, I will sometimes give reading quizzes the day after we cover a section in the text. The questions on these quizzes will be general and will allow the students to explain what they have learned from the reading. Students will not know on which days we will have these quizzes. (This is why it says possible quiz on the agenda.) My educational objective in doing this is to ensure that students are making a sincere effort to retain the information they are learning on a daily basis, instead of waiting until the night before the test to try to commit the material to memory.

Monday – Practice Quiz on Chapter 19, Section 1 Quiz. Students will outline Chapter 19, Section 2.

Tuesday – Quiz on Chapter 19, Section 2. Students will watch video clip on the Absolute Monarchies of Europe and answer teacher guided questions. Then, class will read Chapter 19, Section 3 together and teacher will model how to outline.

Wednesday – Possible Quiz on Chapter 19, Section 3. Class will watch video clip on "Peter the Great" and answer teacher guided questions. Class will review Chapter 19, Section 4 together.
