Government

Monday – Evolution of the American tradition of representative government. Chapter 2, Section 1. Students will complete a concept web on the American settlers basic concepts of government and a chart comparing and contrasting the royal, charter, and proprietary colonies.

Tuesday – America’s Road to Independence. Chapter 2, Section 2.

Wednesday – Declaration of Independence.

Thursday – The Articles of Confederation. Chapter 2, Section 3.

Friday – The Constitution. Chapter 2, Section 4.


World History

Monday – Students will read Chapter 18, Section 1 about the Ottoman Empire and complete teacher generated questions.

Tuesday – Students will read Chapter 18, Section 2 about the Safavid Empire and complete teacher generated questions.

Wednesday – Students will read Chapter 18, Section 3 about the Mughal Empire and complete teacher generated questions.

Thursday – Review Activity.

Friday – Chapter 18 Test.


American History

Monday – “Era of Good Feelings.” Chapter 10 Section 1 (p 340 – 344).

HW: Finish reading Chapter 10, Section 1 (p 340 – 344).

Tuesday – “Era of Good Feelings.” Chapter 10 Section 2 (p 345 – 348).

Wednesday – PowerPoint “The Presidency of Andrew Jackson.” Students complete corresponding guided notes.

Thursday – Finish PowerPoint on “The Presidency of Andrew Jackson.” Students complete corresponding guided notes.

Friday – Quiz on “Era of Good Feelings.” (Chapter 10 Section 1 & 2)


Reading

Monday – Students will begin working on Making Meaning Questions on page 372 (First 25 minutes). Class will read Diary of Anne Frank Act 1, Scene 4.

HW: Students will complete Making Meaning Questions on page 372 (If not finished in class.)

Tuesday – Class will read Diary of Anne Frank Act 1, Scene 5. Students will begin working on Making Meaning Questions on page 386.

HW: Students will complete Making Meaning Questions on page 386 (if not finished in class.)

Wednesday – Students will read Silent Reading Books.

Thursday – Students will write “Thank You” Notes for the Donors Choose Project (Postponed from last week)

Friday – Class will begin reading Diary of Anne Frank, Act 2.
