Government

Monday - Non-Legislative Powers. Class will read and review textbook pages 318 to 324. Students will answer teacher-directed questions. Absent students will read textbook pages 318 to 324 and complete the Section 4 Assessment (questions 1 through 6) on page 324.

Tuesday – Chapter 11 Review. Class will review Chapter 11 to prepare for Chapter 11 Test tomorrow.

Wednesday – Chapter 11 Test.

Thursday – Introduction to Chapter 13. The President’s Job Description. Class will read and review textbook pages 318 to 324. Students will answer teacher-directed questions. Absent students will read textbook pages 318 to 324 and complete the Section 4 Assessment (questions 1 through 6) on page 324.

Friday – Enrichment Activity.


English Honors

Monday – Brave New World. Teacher will read the introduction to Brave New World. Students will answer questions provided by teacher.

Tuesday – Vocabulary Test. Cumulative Test on Vocabulary.

Wednesday – Heroic Epic. Students will write a 1000-to-1500-word short story in which they are the hero. Story will be written in first person, present tense.

Thursday – Heroic Epic. Students will write a 1000-to-1500-word short story in which they are the hero. Story will be written in first person, present tense. (Continued)

8th Grade American History

Monday – Trails to the West. Class will read and review textbook pages 448 to 453. Students will answer teacher-directed questions. Absent students will read textbook pages 448 to 453, define all terms, answer the reading checkpoint questions, and complete the Check Your Progress questions on page 453.

Tuesday – Conflict with Mexico. Class will read and review textbook pages 454 to 459. Students will answer teacher-directed questions. Absent students will read textbook pages 454 to 459, define all terms, answer the reading checkpoint questions, and complete the Check Your Progress questions on page 453.

Wednesday – A Rush to the West. Class will read and review textbook pages 462 to 467. Students will answer teacher-directed questions. Absent students will read textbook pages 462 to 467, define all terms, answer the reading checkpoint questions, and complete the Check Your Progress questions on page 467.

Thursday – Chapter 13 Review. Class will review for Chapter 13 Test.
