Government

Monday – Declaration of Independence. Class will read and review pages 44 to 47 in the textbook. Students will answer the following questions… 1) According to the Preamble, for what purpose is the Constitution being written? 2) According to the Declaration of Natural Rights, what truths do the authors hold to be apparent? 3) According to the Declaration of Natural Rights, what is the purpose of government? 4) According to the Declaration of Natural Rights, what should people do when government becomes destructive towards the ends it was established to achieve? 5) Upon whom or what does the List of Grievances section place the blame for the mistreatment of the colonies? 6) In the Resolution of Independence, to whom or what do the authors appeal to judge their intentions as justified? 7) What action do the authors take in the Resolution of Independence? 8) What is at the very bottom of the Declaration of Independence? 9) List the section of the Declaration of Independence.

Tuesday – The Critical Period. Class will read and review pages 48 to 51. Students will answer questions provided by the teacher.

Wednesday – Debating the Constitution. Class will read and review pages 52 to 58. Students will answer questions provided by the teacher.

Thursday – Debating the Constitution (Continued). Class will read and review pages 52 to 58. Students will answer questions provided by the teacher.

Friday – Ratifying the Constitution. Class will read and review pages 59 to 62. Students will answer questions provided by the teacher.

 



High School English

Monday – Parts of a Sentence Review. Students will answer questions about the parts of the sentence, and class will review.

Tuesday – Sentence Diagrams 4. Students will complete worksheet provided by teacher.

Wednesday – The Power of a Dinner Table. Class will read and review pages 105 to 107. Class will complete and review the Assessment Practice questions on page 107. Students will independently complete the Analyze the Text questions on page 108.  

Thursday – Unusual Normality. Students will read pages 115 to 123 in the textbook. Students will complete the Assessment Practice questions on page 123. Students will complete the Analyze the Text questions on page 124.

Friday – Sentence Diagram Quiz. Quiz on Sentence Diagrams.

 



8th Grade English

Monday – Parts of a Sentence Review. Students will answer questions about the parts of the sentence, and class will review.

Tuesday – Sentence Diagrams 3. Students will complete worksheet provided by the teacher.

Wednesday – Vocabulary List Sentences. Students will receive Vocabulary List 8. Class will review together. Students will write the words in sentences with context clues demonstrating their meaning.  

Thursday – The Diary of Ann Frank. Class will begin reading the story on page 438 of the textbook.

Friday – Vocabulary Quiz 8. Quiz on Vocabulary List 8.

 



8th Grade American History

Monday – Chapter 7 Review & Assessment. Students will answer questions 1 through 9, 13 through 15 on page 224 in the textbook. Students must write questions.

Tuesday –Test Review. Class will review for test on Chapter 7 in the textbook.

Wednesday – Creating the Constitution Test. Test on Chapter 7 in the textbook.

Thursday – Building A National Identity. Class will read pages and review pages 340 to 344 in the textbook. Students will complete worksheet provided by the teacher.

Friday – Building A National Identity (Continued). Class will read pages and review pages 340 to 344 in the textbook. Students will complete worksheet provided by the teacher.
