Tuesday: Silent Reading // Begin working on the Book Advertisements project (from last week)! Using classroom examples as inspiration, create a poster that compels others to read the book you have chosen to share.

Wednesday: Silent Reading // Finish and display Book Advertisements in the classroom!

Thursday: Vocab Test // Silent Reading

Friday: No School - Teacher Workday

4th Period: 8th Grade Reading

Monday: Silent Reading // Civil Rights Read and Respond packet // Begin Selma movie

5th Period: Creative Writing

Monday: Building on the character sketches from last week, students will draft a short story that involves their character. Students must create a conflict for their character as well as incorporate a supernatural ability. Final, edited stories will be due Thursday by the end of the period

Thursday: finish and submit character sketch stories
