1st Period: 6th Grade World History

  • Monday: Begin Reading Chapter 8: The Ancient Greeks // Read 8.1 pg. 246 answering reading checks and map skills questions as we go.

  • Tuesday: Read 8.2 pg. 252 answering reading checks and map skills questions as we go.

  • Wednesday: Read 8.3 pg. 258 answering reading checks and map skills questions as we go.

  • Thursday: Read 8.4 pg. 264 answering reading checks and map skills questions as we go.

  • Friday: Watch video clips on Athens vs. Sparta // Take notes on similarities and differences between the two city-states.

2nd Period: 7th Grade Civics

  • Monday: Begin James Bond in a Honda by reading for and casting roles // Highlight your role in your script

  • Tuesday-Wednesday: Begin reading the script for James Bond in a Honda and receiving feedback on the presentation for the final performance

  • HW: Weekly Current Event Homework Due Wednesday

  • Thursday: Begin Final performance of James Bond in a Honda

  • Friday: Finish Final Performance of James Bond in a Honda // Form Jury groups and begin weighing the evidence from the trial.

3rd Period: 6/7th Grade Advanced Reading

  • Monday: Silent Reading // New Vocab: Dystopian Vocabulary // Discuss vocabulary and examples of Dystopian literature, film, etc.

  • Tuesday: Silent Reading // Write a sentence using each of your new vocab terms // chose at least 5 of those terms to illustrate with a drawing

  • Wednesday: Sustained Silent Reading

  • Thursday: Silent Reading // Read and discuss dystopian short stories “We Ate the Children Last” and “Time Capsule Found On The Dead Planet”

  • Friday: Vocab Test // Silent Reading // Dystopian short stories - students will write their own dystopian short story in this quick write assignment.

7th Period: Forensics

  • Monday: Review for Chapter 3 Test

  • Tuesday: Chapter 3 Test // Forensics Worksheet when finished

  • Thursday-Friday: Lab Days: Observing different kinds of hair under the microscope
