Note: This Agenda Blog is only an approximate plan of the weekly lesson plans. Changes can and will be made due to unanticipated circumstances and in order to maximize instructional effectiveness.


American History High School

Monday – Vocabulary Review. Students will complete vocabulary review worksheet using their vocabulary lists. Students will spend the second half of the period quizzing each other on the vocabulary terms.

Tuesday – Origins of the Vietnam War. Class will read and review pages 724 to 728 in the textbook. Students will complete questions on worksheet provided by teacher.

Homework: U.S. Involvement Grows. Students will independently read pages 729 to 735 in the textbook. Students will define all terms, complete reading checkpoint questions, and section 2 assessment questions (4, 5, and 6).

Wednesday – The War Divides America. Class will read and review pages 736 to 743 in the textbook. Students will complete questions on worksheet provided by teacher.

Thursday – Vocabulary Review. Students will complete vocabulary review worksheet using their vocabulary lists. Students will spend the second half of the period quizzing each other on the vocabulary terms.

Friday – The War’s End & Impact. Class will read and review pages 744 to 751 in the textbook. Students will complete questions on worksheet provided by teacher.


World History High School

Monday –Enrichment Activity.

Tuesday – Origins of the Industrial Revolution. Class will read and review pages 544 to 550 in the textbook. Students will complete define all terms and complete all checkpoint questions.

Wednesday – The Factory System. Class will read and review pages 551 to 554 in the textbook. Students will complete define all terms and complete all checkpoint questions.

Thursday – New Methods and Business Organizations. Class will read and review pages 555 to 558 in the textbook. Students will complete define all terms and complete all checkpoint questions.

Friday – Living and Working Conditions. Class will read and review pages 559 to 563 in the textbook. Students will complete define all terms and complete all checkpoint questions.


English High School

Monday – Vocabulary Story. Students will receive Vocabulary List #19. Class will review terms. Students will write a story using all terms from vocabulary list.

Tuesday – Book Report Activity. Students may pick one of the following: 1) Write an alternate ending to the story. 2) Choose one of the main themes from the book and discuss how it relates to current events. Regardless of the choice picked, the essay must be at least 1500 words long and a maximum of 3000 words long. (Due on Friday)

Monday – Enrichment Activity.

Tuesday – The Age of Jackson. Class will read and review textbook pages 349 to 354. Students will answer questions on worksheet provided by teacher.

Wednesday – Indian Removal. Class will read and review textbook pages 355 to 359. Students will answer questions on worksheet provided by teacher.

Thursday – States Rights & the Economy. Class will read and review textbook pages 362 to 367. Students will answer questions on worksheet provided by teacher.
