American History High School

Monday – Students receive Chapter 10 vocabulary. Teacher will Introduce and summarize Chapter 10 (The Progressive Era). The Drive for Reform. Class will read and review pages 292 to 299. Students will answer guided reading questions on worksheet provided by teacher.

Tuesday – Class will read and discuss excerpt from “The Jungle” by Upton Sinclair. Women Make Progress. Students will independently read pages 301 to 306 in the textbook. Students will answer guided reading questions on worksheet provided by teacher.

Wednesday – Class will read and discuss “Social Problems and Reforms” on page 307. The Struggle Against Discrimination. Students will independently read pages 308 to 312 in the textbook. Students will answer guided reading questions on worksheet provided by teacher.

Thursday – Roosevelt’s Square Deal. Class will read and review pages 313 to 319. Students will answer guided reading questions on worksheet provided by teacher.

Friday – Wilson’s New Freedom. Class will read and review pages 320 to 323. Students will answer guided reading questions on worksheet provided by teacher.


World History High School

Monday – Test (Ancient Egypt Part Two); Students will make Bronze Age & Iron Age timeline (3500 B.C.E. to 600 B.C.E.) with between 30 to 40 events.

HW: (Due Thursday) Students will complete Timeline.

Tuesday – Ancient Greece PowerPoint. Students will actively participate, watch videos, answer questions on slides, and answer questions directed by teacher.

Wednesday – Ancient Greece PowerPoint (Continued). Students will actively participate, watch videos, answer questions on slides, and answer questions directed by teacher.

Thursday – Ancient Greece PowerPoint (Continued). Students will actively participate, watch videos, answer questions on slides, and answer questions directed by teacher.

Friday – Test (Ancient Greece); Enrichment Activity


English High School

Monday – Students will receive Vocabulary List #7. Students will write vocabulary words in sentences with context clues demonstrating their knowledge of the words.

Tuesday – Students will write a 500-to-1000-word essay on one of the following topics: “What is something you could change about yourself that would make a major difference in your life?” or “Write about a time when someone told you something about yourself that changed your perspective.”

Wednesday – Students will write a 500-to-1000-word essay on one of the following topics: “What is something you could change about yourself that would make a major difference in your life?” or “Write about a time when someone told you something about yourself that changed your perspective.” (Continued)

HW: (Due Thursday) Students will complete essay if they did not finish in class.

Thursday – Students will read pages 47 to 65 in Night and answer the guided reading questions on worksheet provided by teacher.

Friday – Vocabulary Quiz; Enrichment Activity

Monday – Test (Massachusetts Bay Colony); Geography Activity

Tuesday – New England Colonies PowerPoint. Students will actively participate, watch videos, answer questions on slides, and answer questions directed by teacher.
