6th Grade ELA

Monday: Review of Classroom Expectations- Book Spectrum Language Arts Pgs. 6-10

Tuesday: Day 2- Book Spectrum Language Arts Continue from yesterday’s activity 10-13

Wednesday: Introduction to Narrative Writing/ Plan writing template

Thursday: Narrative Essay 1 - Introduction to narrative Using The Me Page- The teacher will provide direct instruction for students on this assignment.

Must turn in planning sheet, and final writing for the week

Friday: Class examples and rubric breakdown on 1st writing,


7th grade

Monday: Review of Classroom Expectations- Book Spectrum Language Arts Pgs. 6-10

Must turn in planning sheet, and final writing for the week

Friday: Class Revisions and Rubric breakdown on 1st writing, detailed class participation will be needed.


8th Grade ELA:

Monday: Review of Classroom Expectations- Introduction to The Class TextBook Spectrum Writing Pgs. 1-4

Tuesday: Day 2- Book Spectrum Writing Continue from yesterday’s activity 4-10

Wednesday: Introduction to Narrative Writing/Plan writing template

Thursday: Narrative Essay 1-The Me Page

Must turn in planning sheet, and final writing for the week

Friday: Class Revisions and Rubric breakdown on 1st writing


9th and 10th Grades

Monday: Elements of Literature Intro to TEXTBOOK pgs 27-42. "The Medival Times" Readings and assignments will be completed with the teacher.

Tuesday: Day 2- Class Discussion- Breaking down the questions/ Intro to Readings from the Elements of Literature Text pgs 27-42. "The Medival Times"

Wednesday: Introduction to Narrative Writing/ Planning sheet examples/graphic organizers, rubric, and teacher will be providing direct instruction to students.

Thursday: Day 2-Narrative Essay 1 planning sheet and examples.

Friday: Class discussions and examples of Introductory paragraph. Rubric breakdown on 1st writing


11th and 12th Grades

Monday: Elements of Literature Intro to TEXTBOOK Chapter 1. The teacher will be facilitating and providing guided instruction for the next 2 weeks

Tuesday: Day 2- Class Discussion- Breaking down the questions/ Intro to Readings from the Elements of Literature Textbook Chapter 1.

Wednesday: Introduction to Narrative Writing/ Planning sheet examples/graphic organizers, rubric, and teacher will be providing direct instruction to students.

Thursday: Narrative Essay 1 Using the Me Page Prompt. The teacher will facilitate guided Instruction.

Must turn in planning sheet, and final writing for the week

Friday: Planning and Rubric breakdown on 1st writing


8th Grade Reading

Monday: Review of Classroom Expectations

Begin with The TextBook Elements of Language pgs. 1-10 “We All Need to Lean on Somebody” Class will review, take notes, and the teacher will facilitate answering the questions.

Tuesday: Day 2- Continue Raymond's Run, continue reading with the class, and preview the questions on pg 2 Preview Activities- Before you read and pgs. 12-14 with the entire class

Wednesday: Day 3 Complete reading “Raymond’s Run” Pgs. 1-14- Introduce #2 on pg. 13 Life Stories to prepare for 1st Narrative Writing

Thursday: Narrative Writing essay 1

Prompt will come from the Elements in Language Text Pgs. 13 #2

Life Stories Writing prompt is on page 13 and the teacher will facilitate how to write an effective introduction.

Students will begin the planning sheet.

Friday: Rubric examples/class discussions with students. Practice writing.
