MONDAY IS A SCHOOL HOLIDAY – NO SCHOOL

Period 1: English 9/10

TUES: Presentations – Justice

WED-FRI: Read and Discuss: “The Gettysburg Address” (beg. txt, pg. 165); Assessment, Discuss speeches, outlines, and techniques. Assign “call to action” speech.

Period 2: ELA 6

TUES-FRI: Continue Non-fiction Narratives handout. Give narrative assignment. Work on the narrative planning step of assignment.

Period 3: Literacy

TUES-FRI: Holes Chapters 35-40 Comp Qs and individual assignment. If time permits, vocabulary for Chapters 41-43.

Period 4: English 11/12

TUES –FRI: “Amaryllis” short story reading, discussion, assessment.

Period 5: ELA 7

TUES: Make narrative and dialogue rules resource. Due Wednesday.

WED – FRI: Begin The Giver novel. Introduction and introductory assessments will be given out in class.

Period 6: Law (no class Wednesdays)

TUES – FRI: Complete 11 Important Government Regulations on Business You Must Know handout. Participation grades for discussion, quiz, and assessment handout.
