Period 1: English 9/10

MON: “An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge” – reading should be completed. Group assessment exercises.

TUES – WED: “Christmas at Red Butte” read aloud and assessment.

THURS-FRI: TBD

Period 2: ELA 6

MON: Quiz on capitalization and punctuation

TUES: Vocabulary: free, last, flush, wrong, blush (for these words, define and use them as all three parts of speech: noun, adjective and verb) and close (verb and adjective) – total of 17 words.

WED: Vocabulary quiz and parts of speech activity

THURS-FRI: TBD

Period 3: Literacy

MON – FRI: Holes Chapters 29-34 reading and discussion. Comprehension exercises to follow. Focus on classwork will be graded.

Period 4: English 11/12

MON – FRI: “The Pedestrian” short story read aloud and discussion and graded comprehension exercises and assessment.

Period 5: ELA 7

MON: Vocabulary: Advent, Aroma, Awe, Caroler, Cornucopia, Evergreens, Goodwill, Pixie, Myrrh, Whimsy, Quince, Revel, Yuletide, Sanctuary, Tranquility, Proclaim.

TUES-WED: Assign story assignment. Prepare plot diagram and character and setting description words list. DUE THURS.

THURS – FRI: TBD

Period 6: Law (no class Wednesdays)

MON-TUE and THURS. Continue discussions about antitrust law, advertising, email marketing and environmental. Assessments TBD.
