  • Wednesday: Finish Judicial Branch lesson

3rd Period: 6/7th Grade Advanced Reading

  • Monday: Silent Reading // New Vocab Packet: The Battle of Brooklyn // Read Aloud: The Lottery by Shirley Jackson. Students will sketch what they “see” as the story is read to them

  • Tuesday: Silent Reading // Finish reading and discuss The Lottery // Quickwrite: Do you feel the lottery system in the story was fair? Why or why not?

  • Wednesday: Sustained Silent Reading

  • Thursday: Silent Reading // Writing Assignment: 5 paragraph informational essay on what superpower you wish you had and why you wish you had it

  • Friday: Vocab Test // finish 5 paragraph essay // Silent Reading
