Thursday- Silent Reading and researching, complete Graphic organizer for a non-fiction book report

Friday: Non-Fiction Book Report/Research/Graphic Organizer

Wednesday: I am David Documentary on Netflix/ Students will take notes and discuss themes and present-day examples

Thursday: I Am David Conclusion on Documentary/ Students will now have time to research their own cases they will write about for the assignment.

Friday: Continue research and begin writing essay for EJI - A Racial Injustice


Grade 11/12

Monday: Chaucer EOL pgs 107-110, Read with Class, Introduce the time period and review unknown vocabulary

Tuesday: Begin reading with the class the Canterbury Tales pgs 111-120/ Discuss language/theme/and characters

Wednesday: Read pages (120-128) The Canterbury Tales Day 2 "How Chaucer used storytelling to provide a means of sharing the details of everyday lives

Thursday: Deciphering with the class the inference/story plots and the use of old English through examples for a better understanding of what those individuals had to do to survive in those days.

Friday: Ask students to create a concept graph where both physical and characterizations maps are created for the main characters. The Canterbury Tales


Grade 8 Reading

Monday- EOL- Pgs.138-149 “The Moustache” Read Story with class/Discuss theme and characterization of Mike in the story pg 149 # 9

Tuesday- Continued from yesterday: read with class and Complete Questions on pgs 137-139

Wednesday- Continued from yesterday: begin making the character sketch of Mike from The Moustache pgs 139-149 # 9

Thursday- Continued from the previous day- EOL The Moustache -Draw A scene From The Moustache
