Note: This Agenda Blog is only an approximate plan of the weekly lesson plans. Changes can and will be made due to unanticipated circumstances and in order to maximize instructional effectiveness.



American History High School


Monday – Introduction to American History course; Pass out and review syllabus; Sign out textbooks; Teacher will answer student questions.

Homework: Get parents to sign and return syllabus (Due Wednesday)


Tuesday – Getting to Know You Activity


Wednesday – Getting to Know You Activity


Thursday – Teacher will pass out and review Chapter 3 vocabulary terms with the students. Class will read and review Chapter 3, Section 1 (Slavery, States’ Rights and Western Expansion) on pages 68 to 73 in the textbook. Students will answer teacher-directed questions.

Homework: Students will finish any unfinished classwork.


Friday – Students will complete Chapter 3, Section 1 Reading Check. Class will read and review Chapter 3, Section 2 (A Rising Tide of Protest and Violence) on pages 75 to 81 in the textbook. Students will answer teacher-directed questions.

Homework: Students will finish any unfinished classwork.



World History High School


Monday – Introduction to World History course; Pass out and review syllabus; Sign out textbooks; Teacher will answer student questions.

Homework: Get parents to sign and return syllabus (Due Wednesday)


Tuesday – Getting to Know You Activity


Wednesday – Getting to Know You Activity


Thursday – Class will begin Interactive PowerPoint Presentation on Human Origins.


Friday – Class will continue Interactive PowerPoint Presentation on Human Origins. At the end of class, students will turn in answers for the parts of the PowerPoint presentation completed in class (if finished with all questions). Teacher will pass out a paper copy of the Interactive PowerPoint Presentation (does not include video clips, answers to written questions, and materials students will not be tested on).

Homework: Students who did not answer all questions to the parts of the PowerPoint presentation completed in class may use the paper copy to complete them. (Due Monday)



English High School


Monday – Introduction to English course; Pass out and review syllabus; Sign out textbooks; Teacher will answer student questions.

Homework: Get parents to sign and return syllabus (Due Wednesday)


Tuesday – Getting to Know You Activity

Thursday – Class will review how to write a Description of Place essay. Students will begin writing their Description of Place essay.


Friday – Students will continue to work on their Description of Place essay. Students will

turn in their Description of Place essay (if finished.)

Homework: Students will complete their Description of Place essay (if not finished during class).
