Note: This Agenda Blog is only an approximate plan of the weekly lesson plans. Changes can and will be made due to unanticipated circumstances and in order to maximize instructional effectiveness.



Government

Monday – NO SCHOOL.

Tuesday – Federalism: Powers Divided. Class will read and review pages 94 to 102 and students will answer teacher-directed questions.

Wednesday – The National Government and the 50 States. Class will read and review pages 103 to 109 and students will answer teacher-directed questions.

Thursday – Interstate Relations. Class will read and review pages 111 to 114 and students will answer teacher-directed questions.

Friday – Chapter 4 Test



English Honors

Monday – NO SCHOOL.

Tuesday – Caribbean Short Story Prompt. Students will be given the introduction to a short story. They will write the rest of the story (400 to 600 words).

HW: Students will finish their short story.

Wednesday – Vocabulary List. Students will receive their weekly vocabulary list. Students will write vocabulary words in sentences with context clues showing their understanding of the words.

Thursday – 1984. Students will read 1984. Students must be finished with book by Monday.

HW: Students will finish reading 1984. (Due Monday)

Friday – Vocabulary Quiz. Sentence Diagram & Correction Activity. On the first part of the activity, students will diagram sentences showing their ability to be able to correctly identify the different parts of the sentence. On the second part of the activity, students will fix incomplete and/or incorrect sentences.



8th Grade American History

Monday – NO SCHOOL.

Tuesday – Historian’s Apprentice Workshop. Students will work together as a class to answer the questions on the Historian’s Checklist for the primary source documents on pages 272 to 275.

Wednesday – Introduction to Chapter 8. Washington Takes Office. Class will read and review textbook pages 282 to 287. Students will answer teacher-directed questions.

Thursday – The Birth of Political Parties. Class will read and review textbook pages 290 to 293. Students will answer teacher-directed questions.

Friday – Troubles at Home and Abroad. Class will read and review textbook pages 294 to 297. Students will answer teacher-directed questions.
