American History High School

Monday – Teacher will pass out vocabulary list for Chapter 13. Teacher will introduce Chapter 13 (The Twenties). A Booming Economy. Class will read and discuss textbook pages 404 to 409. Students will answer teacher-directed questions.

Tuesday – Roaring Twenties Video. Class will watch video on the Roaring Twenties. Students are expected to watch the video and actively participate in class discussion.

HW: Students will read pages 410 to 414 (The Business of Government) in the textbook.

Wednesday – Social and Cultural Tensions. Class will read and discuss textbook pages 415 to 422. Students will answer teacher-directed questions. (Absent students should complete the checkpoint questions and critical thinking questions 4, 5, and 6 on the Section Assessment.)

Thursday - A New Mass Culture. Class will read and discuss textbook pages 423 to 431. Students will answer teacher-directed questions. (Absent students should complete the checkpoint questions and critical thinking questions 4, 5, and 6 on the Section Assessment.)

HW: Students will read pages 423 to 431 (Harlem Renaissance) in the textbook.

Friday – Chapter 13 Test Review. Students will actively participate and answer teacher-directed questions.



World History High School

Monday – Chapter 10 Test Make-up. Rise of the Franks. Teacher will introduce and class will discuss. Students will read pages 288 to 293 in the textbook and complete the worksheet provided by the teacher.

Tuesday – Feudalism. Teacher will introduce and class will discuss. Class will watch video about lives of medieval peasants. Students will read pages 294 to 299 in the textbook and complete the worksheet provided by the teacher.

Wednesday – The Medieval Church. Teacher will introduce and class will discuss. Students will read pages 300 to 303 in the textbook and complete the worksheet provided by the teacher.

Thursday – Rise of England & France. Teacher will introduce and class will discuss. Class will watch video about the Norman Conquest of England. Students will read pages 304 to 309 in the textbook and complete the worksheet provided by the teacher.

Friday – Holy Roman Empire. Teacher will introduce and class will discuss. Students will read pages 310 to 313 in the textbook and complete the worksheet provided by the teacher.


English Honors High School

Monday – Vocabulary Test #3 Make-Up. Students will receive Vocabulary List #10. Students will write each of the vocabulary words in a sentence with context clues, demonstrating their understanding of the words.

Tuesday – Night. Students will read pages 98 to 115 in Night and answer guided-reading questions on worksheet provided by teacher.

Wednesday – Creative Writing Activity. Students will receive the beginning of a story written by teacher and will write the next thousand words of the story.

Thursday – Creative Writing Activity (Continued). Students will receive the beginning of a story written by teacher and will write the next thousand words of the story.

Friday – Vocabulary Quiz #10


American History Middle School

Monday – Southern Colonies Unit Test Make-up. Students will complete pages 64 to 66 in the workbook.

Tuesday – French & Indian War PowerPoint Presentation. Students will actively participate, watch videos, answer questions on slides, and answer questions directed by teacher.

Wednesday – French & Indian War PowerPoint Presentation (Continued). Students will actively participate, watch videos, answer questions on slides, and answer questions directed by teacher.

Thursday – French & Indian War PowerPoint Presentation (Continued). Students will actively participate, watch videos, answer questions on slides, and answer questions directed by teacher.
