Economics

Monday – Sole Proprietorships. Students will read the section on Sole Proprietorships in the handout and complete the questions on the worksheet provided.

Tuesday – Partnerships & Franchises. Students will read the section on Partnerships & Franchises in the handout and complete the questions on the worksheet provided.

Wednesday – Corporations. Students will read the section on Corporations in the handout and complete the questions on the worksheet provided.

Thursday – Test Review. Review for the Business Organizations Test.

Friday – Business Organizations Test. Test on the types of business organizations units.


High School English

Monday – Seven Minute Writing Prompt. Write about a memory of yours that involves rain. Vocabulary List #6. Students will receive Vocabulary List #6. Story Outline. Students will complete the Story Outline for the following prompt, “Write a story that begins and ends with the main character looking up at the stars.”

Tuesday – Seven Minute Writing Prompt. If you could go back exactly one year and give yourself a piece of advice, what would it be? FSA Writing Activity #2. Students will complete using the worksheet provided.

Wednesday – Creative Writing Story #3. Using their completed outline as a guide, students will write a 1000 to 2000 word story on the following prompt, “Write a story that begins and ends with the main character looking up at the stars.”

Thursday – Creative Writing Story #3. Using their completed outline as a guide, students will write a 1000 to 2000 word story on the following prompt, “Write a story that begins and ends with the main character looking up at the stars.”

Homework: Complete Creative Writing Story #3 (Due Friday)

Friday – Vocabulary Quiz #6. Quiz on Vocabulary List #6.


8th Grade English

Monday – Seven Minute Writing Prompt. Write about a memory of yours that involves rain. Lord of the Flies Silent Reading. Students will read Chapter 10 in Lord of the Flies.

Homework: Finish reading Chapter 10 in Lord of the Flies by Wednesday. Complete Lord of the Flies (Chapter 10 & 11) by Thursday.

Tuesday – Seven Minute Writing Prompt. If you could go back exactly one year and give yourself a piece of advice, what would it be and why? FSA Writing Activity #2. Students will complete using the worksheet provided.

Wednesday – Seven Minute Writing Prompt. Failure can be a good thing because… (Class will turn in writing journals.) Lord of the Flies Guided Reading Questions, Chapter 10. Class will discuss Chapter 10 in Lord of the Flies and students will independently complete worksheet.

Thursday – Subjects & Verbs #2. Class will work together to complete the first half of the worksheet. Students will complete the second half independently.

Friday – Lord of the Flies, Chapter 10 & 11 Quiz. Quiz on Chapters 10 & 11 of Lord of the Flies.


8th Grade American History

Monday – Massachusetts Bay Test. Test on the Massachusetts Bay colony unit.

Tuesday – Salem Witch Trials. Students will view PowerPoint Presentation, watch videos, and participate in class discussion.

Wednesday – New England Colonies. PowerPoint Presentation on the New England Colonies. Students will listen, read slides, watch video clips, answer teacher-directed questions, participate in class discussions, and answer questions on PowerPoint slides.

Thursday – New England Colonies (Continued). PowerPoint Presentation on the New England Colonies. Students will listen, read slides, watch video clips, answer teacher-directed questions, participate in class discussions, and answer questions on PowerPoint slides.

Friday – New England Colonies (Continued). PowerPoint Presentation on the New England Colonies. Students will listen, read slides, watch video clips, answer teacher-directed questions, participate in class discussions, and answer questions on PowerPoint slides.
